Man suffered fractured cheekbone after being attacked outside Jesmond bar

A man suffered a fractured cheekbone following an assault outside a Jesmond bar.

At around 1.30am on July 17, police received a report of an assault outside Spy Bar on Osborne Road.

Officers attended and found a 42-year-old man with injuries to his face and arm.

He was taken to hospital for treatment.

An investigation has been launched into the incident, and police are now keen to hear from anybody who witnessed the assault.

Police say it happened at a busy time when a number of revellers were believed to have been nearby.
