Pink Line service was disrupted on the West Side Monday after a man was struck by a train at the 54th/Cermak station in Cicero.

The 34-year-old was crossing the train tracks about 12:15 p.m. near Laramie Avenue and 21st Place when he was struck, Cicero officials said.

He was pulled from under the train and taken to Loyola University Medical Center in Maywood in serious condition, officials said.

Trains were suspended between the 54th/Cermak and Pulaski stations after the incident, the CTA said, but normal service resumed about 1:05 p.m.
