Man struck by car at zebra crossing and rushed to hospital in Fife

An investigation is underway after a man was mowed down by a car in Fife.

The pedestrian was struck at a zebra crossing in Trondheim Parkway in Dunfermline on Thursday morning.

Emergency crews raced to the scene when the alarm was raced at around 11.30am.

The man was rushed to Victoria Hospital in Kirkcaldy for treatment.

His current condition is yet to be confirmed.

Police probing the horror crash told the Record that enquiries are ongoing.

Anyone with information on the incident is asked to come forward.

A Police Scotland spokeswoman said: "A around 11.30am on Thursday, March 25 police received a report of a male pedestrian being struck by a car at a zebra crossing in Trondheim Parkway, Dunfermline.

"Emergency services attended and the man was taken to the Victoria Hospital for treatment.

"Enquiries are ongoing and anyone with information is asked to contact Police Scotland through 101, quoting incident number 9085 of Thursday, March 25."
