Man struck by BMW reversing from Glasgow city centre garage

A man has been left in a serious condition after he was struck by a BMW in Glasgow.

Police are appealing for information after the 36-year-old was struck by a car in Glasgow City Centre.

On Friday March 29 at around 4.30pm he was left seriously injured when he was struck by a BMW car reversing out of a garage in Bath Lane.

He rushed by ambulance to Glasgow Royal Infirmary where medical staff describe his condition as serious. The 51-year-old driver was not injured.

Sergeant Kenny Malaney, Road Policing Unit, Glasgow, said: “From our enquiries we know that a man in a white van stopped to assist after the incident, however, unfortunately he left prior to police arriving.

“We would be keen to speak to him as he may have some information that could assist our enquiries.

“Anyone with information can contact the Road Policing Unit in Glasgow via 101.  Please quote incident number 3176 of the 29 March 2018.”
