Detective Inspector Neil Dillon said: “This was a horrifying incident for the woman and her friend to have experienced. Thankfully no one was injured during the incident, but both were left very distressed and are receiving the full support of officers.

“I would like to appeal to residents in the area to check their CCTV and doorbell footage to see if it may have captured anything which may help with our enquiries and contact us so we can bring the offenders to justice. If you have any information no matter how small or irrelevant you may think it is please pass it on to us as it could be what we need to identify this man.”
