A man 'stamped on a Labrador's head' in a 'disgusting' street attack that left an onlooker horrified.
The incident - said to have happened at the roundabout on Moorfield Road, Widnes - was first reported on a Halton Facebook group on Thursday, May 27.
A woman posted up about the sickening attack, and then described the man who she said became abusive when challenged.

The woman's post read: "Sorry to say this but I have just witnessed a man wearing a green t-shirt and light trousers stamp on a dog's head.
"When I stopped he said it was not any of my business as the dog was his and was not listening to him as he had a dislocated shoulder.
"I was being told to 'f**k off, move'. This happened at the roundabout in Moorfield Road."
Replying further down in the post, she described the dog as a "beige Labrador" and said the man was in his late 30s, with a medium build and dark hair.
The woman went on to say she had reported the incident to police. The ECHO has contacted Cheshire Police for comment.
People outraged by the reported attack on a "defenceless" animal condemned the man's actions, calling them "disgusting" and urged anyone who recognises the man to report him to police and the RSPCA.
Local businesses said they would be checking their CCTV to see if it had filmed the attack.
