A man was fatally stabbed early Sunday in a fight near his home in west suburban Maywood.
Martin Ojeda, 46, was parking his vehicle in the 1000 block of North 8th Avenue when he became involved in a physical altercation with someone who stabbed him, Maywood police said.
Officers were called to the block about 1:50 a.m. and found Ojeda stabbed multiple times, police said.
He was taken to Loyola University Medical Center in Maywood, where he was pronounced dead at 2:40 a.m., police and the Cook County medical examiner’s office said. An autopsy released Monday found he died of multiple stab wounds.
Ojeda lived in the same block where he was stabbed, the medical examiner’s office said.
