A 19-year-old man was stabbed to death Saturday during a fight in Rogers Park on the North Side.

About 3:50 p.m., Lance Strickland, of Rosemoor, was in the 1600 block of West Jonquil Terrace when he got into an argument with an unknown person, Chicago police and the Cook County medical examiner’s office said. The argument turned physical and he was stabbed in the chest.

Strickland was taken to Saint Francis Hospital in Evanston where he was pronounced dead, police said.

An autopsy conducted Sunday confirmed that he died of a stab wound to the chest, the medical examiner’s office said. His death was ruled a homicide.

Area North detectives are investigating, there is no one in custody.
