A 40-year-old man was stabbed to death early Thursday inside a home in Clearing on the Southwest Side.
He was stabbed during an altercation about 1:15 a.m. in the 6400 block of South Naragansett Avenue, according to a statement from Chicago police.
A witness who was sleeping in the home awoke to find him stabbed in the kitchen, according to police spokeswoman Sally Bown.
He was stabbed in the chest and abdomen and rushed to Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn, where he died, police said.
His name has not been released by the Cook County medical examiner’s office.
Investigators have a possible suspect’s name, but no arrests have been made, Bown said Thursday morning.
