Man stabbed outside Glasgow nightclub in 'unprovoked attack'

A man has been stabbed in a "random and unprovoked" attack outside a Glasgow nightclub.

Police are hunting two men after the man, 20, was seriously assaulted outside Kokomo on West Regent Street at 3.20am this morning.

It's thought that one of the suspects made off in a small, grey coloured Mercedes.

Emergency services attended and the victim was taken to the Glasgow Royal Infirmary where he was treated for stab wounds . Medics describe his condition as stable.

Officers have released details on one of the suspects and are appealing for anyone with information to come forward

One of the men is described as being between 5ft8 and 5ft10, average build with red hair.

He was wearing a black puffa-style jacket, glasses and spoke with a strong local accent.

There is no description for the second suspect.

Detective Sergeant Donna McDougall said: "This appears to have been a random and unprovoked attack and it is vital that we trace the individuals involved.

"I would appeal to anyone who witnessed the incident, or anything at all suspicious, to get in touch."

Anyone with information is urged to contact police via 101, quoting incident number 0337 of Friday, April 5.
