A 20-year-old man is in hospital with a stab wound after being attacked outside a city centre night club in the early hours of this morning.

The victim was outside Kokomo in West Regent Street around 3.20am on Friday (April 5) when he was seriously assaulted by two men.

At least one of the suspects then made off in a small grey Mercedes.

Prisoner who stabbed fellow inmate with sharpened toothbrush jailed for 13 months

Emergency services rushed the man to the Royal Infirmary by ambulance - staff there describe his condition as stable.

The first of two suspects is described as between 5ft8 and 5ft10, of average build and with red hair. He was wearing a black puffs-style jacket and glasses and he spoke with a Glaswegian accent.

There is no description for the second suspect.

Man, 58, seriously assaulted in toilets of Paisley Wetherspoons

Detective Sergeant Donna McDougall, from Stewart Street CID, said: “This appears to have been a random and unprovoked attack and it is vital that we trace the individuals involved.

“I would appeal to anyone who witnessed the incident, or anything at all suspicious, to get in touch.

“Anyone with information is asked to contact Stewart Street CID via 101, quoting incident number 0337 of Friday 5 April 2019. Alternatively you can call Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 where details can be given in confidence.”
