Man 'stabbed multiple times' on Scots street as police launch probe to find attacker

A 61-year-old man has been rushed to hospital with serious injuries after being stabbed on a Scots street.

Emergency services raced to the Park Street area of Aberdeen in the early hours of Thursday morning after the man was seriously assaulted.

It is understood he was attacked with a bladed weapon and stabbed multiple times.

He was taken to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary for treatment.

Cops have now launched a major probe to trace the person responsible as enquiries into the incident remain ongoing.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Police received report of a 61-year-old man having been seriously assaulted in the Park Street area of Aberdeen in the early hours of the morning on Thursday, 17 February, 2022.

“The man was taken to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary for treatment and enquiries into the incident are ongoing.”
