Man stabbed multiple times in street row as woman arrested

A man was stabbed multiple times in a violent street row before a woman was arrested.

Merseyside Police rushed to Scott Street in Bootle at around 9.15pm on Friday, January 21 following reports of an altercation.

It was reported a man and woman were rowing in the street before the man was stabbed.

Police said they are treating the incident it as a domestic.

North West Ambulance Service attended the scene and treated the man for non-life-threatening puncture wounds to his shoulder and stomach.

Police have arrested a 32-year-old woman on suspicion of section 18 wounding.

She has been taken into custody and will be questioned by police.

A small section of Scott Street at the junction of Peel Road was cordoned off by Merseyside Police.

Around half-a-dozen police cars were at the cordon along with a forensics vehicle.

Crime scene investigation officers were seen placing evidence markers in the road.

One of the markers was placed next to a smashed glass bottle.

While police worked within the cordon residents were asked to remain inside.
