Man 'stabbed' in late night rammy at Cambuslang high rise flat

A 29-year-old man was allegedly stabbed during a late night disturbance in Cambuslang .

Police were called to Bute Tower, Clifton Terrace, Whitlawburn , at around 11.30pm last night after reports of a serious assault within a flat in the high-riser.

The victim sustained serious injuries to his chest.

Cops confirmed a 25-year-old man has been arrested and charged in connection with the incident.

The area was sealed off for several hours after the incident and forensic officers were seen scouring the area at around 3am this morning.

A Police Scotland Spokesperson said: "Officers received a call at 11.30pm last night in relation to a serious assault within Bute Tower, Whitlawburn. A 29-year-old man was seriously assaulted. A 25-year-old man has been arrested and charged in relation to the incident."
