Man stabbed in his arm in Lower Parliament Street

Police want to trace two men in connection with an incident where a man was stabbed in the arm.

Officers want to speak to the two men pictured after an incident of grievous bodily harm in Cranbrook Street, near to Lower Parliament Street .

The incident happened at around 11.40pm on Thursday, August 1.

Two men are reported to have been walking along Lower Parliament Street towards Cranbrook Street when they were approached.

It's thought an attempt was made to steal a number of their possessions, at which point one of the men was stabbed in the arm.

Detective Constable Matt Wakeling, investigating the incident, said: "We're very keen to identify the men in the photographs to further our investigation.

"A man has been left injured and it's important that we look into all lines of enquiry to get the full picture of what happened that night.

"We urge anyone with information to get in touch and want to reassure people that acts such as this will not be tolerated and such reports and information relating to it will be investigated."
