Man stabbed in Glasgow street in broad daylight

A man has been stabbed in broad daylight in another knife attack in Glasgow .

The 41-year-old man was taken to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital in the city after the incident on Heathcot Avenue, Drumchapel at around 11.20am this morning.

Cops are now appealing for anyone who may have witnessed the attack to come forward with information.

The stabbing comes just days after a Celtic fan was knifed outside a pub in Blackfriars Street in Merchant City.

Francis McCann remains in a critical condition at Glasgow Royal Infirmary after reportedly being knifed in the neck.

A Police Scotland spokeswoman said: "Around 11.20am on April 3, police were called to a report of a 41 year old man seriously injured on Heathcot Avenue, Drumchapel.

"He was taken to the Queen Elizabeth university Hospital where medical staff describe his condition as stable.

"Anyone with information is urged to contact police on 101."
