Man stabbed in Glasgow street as cops lock down Dennistoun street

A Glasgow street has been locked down after a man was rushed to hospital with stab wounds.

A 40-year-old was rushed to Queen Elizabeth University Hospital with serious injuries.

Police rushed to the Dennistoun area of the city after being alerted to a knife attack on Meadowpark Street, near Alexandra Park.

The incident occurred around 12.30am this morning.

The man’s injuries are not believed to be life threatening.

An investigation into the incident has been launched and police are appealing for witnesses to come forward.

A police spokesperson said: “Officers were called to a report of a man being stabbed on Meadowpark Street, Glasgow around 12.30am on Saturday 4 December 2021.

“The 40-year-old was taken to The Queen Elizabeth University Hospital for treatment to his injuries, which are not thought to be life threatening.

“Enquiries into the incident are ongoing.”
