Man in hospital after being stabbed in early morning Paisley street rammy

A man was stabbed during an early hours street rammy in Paisley.

The 29-year-old victim was attacked during a disturbance in George Street at around 3.30am this morning.

Violence erupted between a group of men leaving the man with stab wounds.

He is currently being treated in the Royal Alexandra Hospital. 

Detectives probing the incident have appealed for witnesses to come forward.

Detective Sergeant Allison Campbell, from Paisley CID, said: "A 29-year-old man was injured during a disturbance involving a group of men in George Street Paisley which happened at around 3.30am this morning.

"The victim was taken to the Royal Alexandra Hospital. 

"We are appealing to anyone who may have been in the area at the time and saw what happened to come forward. 

"I'd also ask anyone with private space CCTV or dashcam footage to check if they captured anything which may be useful to our investigation."
