A man was rushed to hospital after a horrific early morning stabbing on a Glasgow street.
Police are treating the incident as attempted murder after the 28-year-old was found with stab wounds on the city's Bridge Street.
Emergency services raced to the scene around 2.45am and the man was taken to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital.
Ambulance crews discovered stab wounds.
Police have tonight appealed for anyone with information on the stabbing to come forward.
Detective Inspector Darren Munogee at Cathcart Police Station said: "Around 2.45am on Tuesday, 14 December, officers were called to a report of a man injured on Bridge Street, Glasgow.
"Officers attended and a 28-year-old man was taken to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital where he is being treated for stab wounds.
"The incident is being treated as attempted murder.
"Officers are carrying out enquiries in the local area, viewing CCTV footage and following a number of lines of enquiry in relation to this investigation.
"Any witnesses or anyone with information that may assist our enquiry should contact 101 with reference 0240 of 14 December.
"Alternatively Crimestoppers can be contacted on 0800 555 111, where anonymity can be maintained."
