Man stabbed in Drumchapel in broad daylight street attack

Police are appealing for information after a man was knifed in a Drumchapel street in broad daylight.

Emergency services raced to Heathcot Avenue after the 41-year-old was found seriously injured at around 11:20am this morning.

He was taken to Queen Elizabeth University Hospital where medical staff described his condition as "serious but stable".

Detectives are asking members of the public to come forward with any information and drivers with dash cam footage who were on Great Western Road around that time to get in touch.

A spokeswoman for Police Scotland said: “At around 11.20am, police were called to a report of a 41 year old man seriously injured on Heathcot Avenue, Drumchapel.

“He was taken to the Queen Elizabeth university Hospital where medical staff describe his condition as serious but stable.

“Anyone with any information is asked to contact Police Scotland on 101 using incident number 1151."
