Man stabbed in Castlemilk, Glasgow, left in serious condition in hospital

A man is in a serious condition in hospital after being stabbed in Glasgow last night.

The 21-year-old was rushed to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital at around 8pm after the incident on Lainshaw Drive, near to Drakemire Drive in the Castlemilk area of the city.

Officers from Police Scotland were called to the scene at 7.40pm after reports of a stabbing.

An investigation has now been launched with enquiries at an early stage.

A Police Scotland spokeswoman said: "We were called at around 7.40pm on Monday evening after reports a 21-year-old man having been stabbed on Lainshaw Drive, near to Drakemire Drive.

"He was taken by ambulance to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital, where he remains for treatment.

"He is in a serious, but stable, condition."
