Man rushed to hospital after horror knife attack at Cranhill flat block

A man was rushed to hospital after being stabbed within a flat in Cranhill.

The 27-year-old was taken to the Royal Infirmary after police were called at around 4:15pm yesterday. He had suffered wounds to his stomach and leg.

Police locked down the block of flats yesterday as they investigated the incident.

No arrests have been made so far.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "We received a report of a serious assault within a flat on Soutra Place, Glasgow, around 4.15pm on Thursday, 28 November, 2019.

"A 27-year-old man was taken to the Glasgow Royal Infirmary with serious injuries to his stomach and leg that are not believed to be life threatening.

"Officers are following a positive line of enquiry."
