Man stabbed in Baillieston as cops tape off three Glasgow streets

A man is in a serious condition in hospital today after being stabbed in an early morning disturbance in Glasgow.

Officers from Police Scotland were called to a house in Dyke Street in the Baillieston area of the city at around 6.15am after reports of an incident.

The 31-year-old was rushed to Glasgow Royal Infirmary following what's believed to be a stabbing.

Cops probing in the attack have taped down Buchanan Street, Buchanan Grove and Dyke Street in the area .

One eyewitness told the Daily Record he can't get out his house and that he saw cops take two women and a man away from the scene.

Markers have placed on the street with blood splattered are the area where the incident may have taken place.

A Police Scotland spokeswoman said: "Police were called to a report of a disturbance within a property on Dyke Street around 6.15am.

"A 31-year-old man has been taken to Glasgow Royal Infirmary with serious injuries .

"Officers remain at the scene while enquiries are ongoing.

"Buchanan Street, Buchanan Grove and Dyke Street in the Baillieston area have been closed as part of the investigation."
