Man stabbed during Jerrabomberra home invasion

NSW Police are seeking information about a home invasion in Jerrabomberra in which a man was stabbed in the abdomen.

At 3.30am on Friday, a 39-year old man was woken by the sound of an intruder at his Halloran Drive home.

After leaving his bedroom to investigate, police say he was confronted by another man who stabbed him in the abdomen with a knife before fleeing the home.

The suspect is described as a Caucasian male in his 20s, 180 centimetres tall with a solid build. He was wearing a black hoodie and tracksuit pants.

The victim remains in a stable condition at Canberra Hospital.

Officers from the Monaro Police District believe the victim's wallet may have been stolen during the break-in.
