Man stabbed during fight in Loop

A man was stabbed during a fight Tuesday in the Loop.

The 21-year-old was involved in an altercation with another man at 10:51 a.m. in the 300 block of South State Street, according to Chicago police. During the fight, the man stabbed him in the lower right side of his back.

He was taken to Northwestern Memorial Hospital, where he was stabilized, according to police and Chicago fire officials.

The suspect was described as a 5-foot-4 to 5-foot-5 man wearing a red hat, a white shirt and black pants with multiple zippers on them, police said.

No one is in custody as Area Central detectives investigate.
