A man was injured during an incident outside a pub in Heywood this morning.
Police were called to Brunswick Street, in the town, following reports of “a stabbing”.
When officers arrived at the scene - close to the Heywood Pub - they discovered that a man aged in his 20s had been stabbed.

His injuries are not thought to have been serious, Greater Manchester Police said.
A police cordon was in place outside the pub for some time on Tuesday morning (September 22).
A GMP spokesperson confirmed details of the incident.
They said: “Shortly after 8.30am this morning (Tuesday 22 September 2020), police were called to Brunswick Street to reports of a stabbing.

“Officers attended and established that a man in his 20s had been stabbed. His injuries are not thought to have been serious.

"Any information should be reported to 101 quoting the incident number 672 of 22/09/20. Or reports can be made anonymously to the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111."
