Man stabbed at Drygate flats as police lock down several Glasgow streets

A man has been stabbed in a disturbance at flats on Drygate, police have confirmed.

As reported on Glasgow Live, officers responded to reports of a disturbance around 7.35am today (Thursday, April 21).

Collins Street, Cathedral Street and a block of Drygate flats were cordoned off amid a large police presence.

Officers have since confirmed one injury.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 7.35am on Thursday, April 21, police were called to a report of a disturbance on Collins Street, Glasgow.

"A man in his 20s was found injured and he has been taken to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital where he is being treated for stab wounds.

"Enquiries are ongoing into the serious assault that took place within a block of flats on Drygate.

A heavy police presence remains around Glasgow's Drygate. (Daily Record)

"Officers are following a number of lines of enquiry in relation to this incident."
