Man stabbed and robbed at home in Hackney

A man was stabbed by a gang who broke into his house to steal watches in a terrifying raid at a property in north-east London.

The victim, 36, was attacked by the robbery gang on Wednesday night. Police said the men stole “a number of watches” from the property in Hackney before fleeing the scene.

Police are investigating after they were called to the residential address on Stamford Hill just before midnight.

Scotland Yard said in a statement: “Police were called at 23:35hrs on Wednesday, 12 June to a residential address

“A 36-year-old man reported being attacked by a group of men who entered his address and stabbed him before fleeing in a car.

“A number of watches were stolen.”

“The victim has been taken to hospital suffering from stab injuries to his leg.”

The victim's injuries have been declared “not life-threatening or life-changing”.

A crime scene is now in place.

No arrests have been made.
