Man stabbed after large group involved in early hours street brawl

A man was stabbed following a brawl in the street in the early hours this morning (Saturday).

Witnesses reported seeing a large group of men involved in a fight on Gargrave Avenue, Bolton, at around 3.25am.

The victim, aged 30, was rushed to hospital but doctors say his injuries are not life-threatening.

No arrests have been made but police taped off areas of the road this morning and are continuing to investigate the incident.

A spokesperson for GMP said: "Officers were called around 3.25am this morning (Saturday, April 3) to a report of a fight on Gargrave Avenue, Bolton.

"Emergency services attended and enquiries established a large group of males had been involved in a fight and a man had been stabbed.

"The 30-year-old man was taken to hospital. His injuries are not believed to be life threatening.

"No arrests have been made and enquiries are ongoing."
