A man was sprayed with CS gas before being arrested in Bury after allegedly making a 'gun fingers' gesture at police.
The motorcyclist was stopped on Outwood Road in Radcliffe at around 6.30pm on Saturday (September 26).
Police say he imitated a gun with his hand, allegedly 'gesturing about a recent fallen colleague'.
Officers said the man became aggressive - and that they had to use CS gas to restrain him.
A member of the public helped until backup arrived, the force added.
In a tweet, GMP said: “This rider tried to engage #traffic in a pursuit by pointing ‘gun fingers’ gesturing about our recent fallen colleague.
“It didn't end well when he was stopped and arrested for No Ins, Sec5aRTA, Sec5POA and Resist Arrest.
“Occurred on Outwood Rd, Radcliffe at 1830hrs.
“Once stopped the rider became aggressive towards police and CS Spray was deployed.
"A member of the public helped our officer in restraining the rider until backup arrived.
“We would like to thank that person if you could help share.”
