Man spotted with shed on his head at Bristol Aldi

The man known for walking around Bristol with a miniature shed on his head has made an appearance in Aldi.

Michael Shedworth is a lesser-spotted urban legend who, every once in a while, walks through the city with fire blasting and dance music blaring from the shed covering his head.

And the mysterious figure was seen shopping today (May 9) in the Aldi supermarket on Church Road, Redfield.

The shed was intact, with LEDs flashing under the roof, though the flames and disco tunes were absent.

Matt Read tweeted an image of Shedworth queueing to get in the store while responsibly maintaining social distancing amid the coronavirus pandemic.

He posted: "Interesting take on PPE queueing to get into my local Aldi."

Matt, who was four places behind Shedworth in the queue, spotted him again at the checkout a little later.

He revealed the assistant at the till was so awestruck by Shedworth, she asked Matt to send her a picture of the Bristol legend paying for his shopping at her checkout.

Bristol Live reporter Tristan Cork has reported extensively on the remarkable journey of Shedworth since he tentatively stepped out with a shed on his head five years ago.

He is a stalwart of the festival scene, having been spotted at both Love Saves The Day and Glastonbury Festival.

Last year he was filmed by a passer-by walking near St Werburgh’s City Farm and the footage soon went viral.
