Man spotted 'with hand down trousers watching young girls' while phone out

Parents have received a crucial warning after a man was spotted in Fairview allegedly “with his hand in his trousers”.

The incident was said to have happened around the top circle in Marino.

The person, who remains anonymous, said they were walking with their mother when they noticed a young man who was in his "early 20’s, dressed in a black tracksuit with black Nike runners, short brown hair, skinny, about 5’ 11'' sitting with his back against a tree with his phone out".

He allegedly had his "hands down his trousers looking at a group of three young girls close by".

The person said they alerted the girls to the fact that there was a man watching them.

A warning was posted in the Marino/Fairview - Neighbourhood Watch which read: “Just wanted to share for any parents out there with young girls hanging around the top circle in Marino.

“Myself and my mam just witnessed a young man early 20’s, dressed in a black tracksuit with black Nike runners, short brown hair, skinny, about 5’ 11'' sitting with his back against a tree with his phone out.

“Hands down his trousers looking at a group of three young girls close by.

“We called the girls to ask if they knew him and seemed to have scared him off.

“He hurried away quite quickly, wondering if anyone else may have witnessed him around the area.”
