Police have launched a probe after a man was allegedly spotted performing a 'solo sex act' in a Glasgow park.

The horrifying incident is said to have taken place in Queen's Park in the south side of the city at around 7pm on Thursday, August 26.

A disgusted local reported the man, who was said to have been sitting on a bench in-between the Ivory Hotel and football complex Goals, in the heart of the park.

Raising the alarm on social media, the Glasgow resident said: "Unfortunately I had to report a man.

"He had slim build, clean shaven face, short dark hair, tanned complexion. Grey joggers, a white jacket with a stripe down the arm.

"He was sitting on a park bench on the straight stretch between the Ivory Hotel and Goals in Queen's Park.

"If anyone sees someone that matches this description please report to 101 and reference the incident number 3056."

Officers confirmed the incident has been reported to them and their enquiries are ongoing.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said : "We received a report of man behaving inappropriately around 7pm on Thursday, August 26, 2021 on a bench in Queen's Park, Glasgow.

"Anyone who was in the area is asked to contact officers on 101, quoting 3056 of Thursday, August 26."
