Man spotted driving van with two huge cracks across windscreen on M62

A man was spotted driving a van with two huge cracks across the windscreen on the M62.

Traffic officers stopped the white Ford van near Birch Services at the junction for Heywood.

They spotted two cracks across the front windscreen of the vehicle.

Officers said 'the driver and his boss thought it was ok' to drive with the cracks on the glass.

The driver was handed a TOR (North West Motorway Police)

He was handed a Traffic Offence Report (TOR) at the scene.

In a tweet posted this morning (Friday), North West Motorway Police said: "Vehicle stopped at Birch Services on M62, cracked windscreen meant vehicle was prohibited - PG9.

"Driver and Boss thought it was okay and he should be let off by our patrol - TOR issued."
