Man spiked colleagues' drinks with LSD because they had 'negative energy'

A 19-year-old suspect is facing possible charges of second-degree assault and possession of a controlled substance after allegedly lacing his colleagues’ drinks with LSD

Lieutenant Clinton Wooldridge told The Independent the incident took place at an Enterprise Rent-A-Car location in Arnold, Missouri .

He declined to name the suspect, who he said was an employee of the rental car company when the incident took place. 

The teenager reportedly told police officers he added the drug to his coworkers’ drinks because they had “negative energy.”

He added the LSD to two of his colleague’s water bottles and another employee’s coffee, police said. 

Describing reactions the employees may have experienced from LSD use, Sergeant Tony Dennis from the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Department told local news channel KMOV: “You're going to have an increased heart rate, temperature, higher blood pressure.”

He added: “It's been described as causing the shakes or tremors.”

The workers displayed reactions consistent with LSD use, according to the Jefferson County Municipal Enforcement Group tasked with investigating local drug crimes.

The charges are pending lab results from the liquids allegedly laced with the drug. A police report was not immediately available. 

The employees who allegedly consumed the laced drinks were immediately sent to a local urgent care centre when they became dizzy and shaky. They were reportedly in stabile condition shortly after the incident.
