Man speechless after he scoops £40,000 Jaguar plus £30,000 cash

A Liverpool man was waiting at home for a delivery when he received an incredible knock on the door.

Online competition company BOTB had sent presenter Christian Williams to Andy Bolton's house, in Walton, to tell him he'd won a car and £30,000 in cash.

Andy Bolton scooped a brand-new Jaguar XE P300 R-Dynamic HSE which boasts 300bhp and is worth £40,000.

He also bagged £30,000 in cash in the BOTB Midweek Car competition.

The 53-year-old said: "I knew exactly who Christian was when he turned up at my door, I was completely speechless!”

"They’re fantastic cars, when I saw it on the BOTB line up, I thought I might as well have a go on one. I’ve been playing the competition for a few years and to win is just the greatest feeling ever."

Andy said that he would use the money for a trip to Holland, he said: "I used to work in Holland and it’s a special place to me. As soon as I’m able to, I think I’ll use the money to book a flight there."

Just days later, another Merseyside man won a competition and scooped thousands of pounds.

Mark Champion, 42, from Prescot spent just 30p on his ticket and took home £5,000 in cash.

The father-of-four said he’d use the money to book a long overdue family holiday.

The 42-year-old said: "That will come in really handy, I’ll be taking the family on a holiday probably next year when all the restrictions have been lifted.

"If we’re allowed, I might treat the wife to a city break to Budapest in November time, too."

BOTB’s Christian, who gets to give the winners the good news, said: "It’s not every week where we get two winners from the same area - maybe Liverpool is the luckiest city in the UK?

"Massive congratulations to both Andy and Mark - I hope they enjoy their prizes."
