Man slashed in Glasgow in brutal Friday night attack

Cops have issued an appeal for information after a man was slashed in Glasgow last week.

The victim, a 33-year-old man, was attacked in the Netherton Park area of Knightswood at around 10.45pm last Friday night (September 25).

He was rushed to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital for treatment to a laceration.

The incident happened near to Shafton Road in the city and took place after the suspect approached the man before launching the assault.

Detective Constable David Orr from Drumchapel CID said: “Details of the suspect and the circumstances surrounding this incident are limited at this stage and it is vital that anyone with information comes forward.

“I would appeal to anyone who was within Netherton Park last Friday night, who may have witnessed the incident, or noticed anything at all suspicious, to please get in touch.

“Anyone with information is asked to contact Police Scotland through 101, quoting incident number 4455 of Friday 25 September 2020.

"Alternatively you can call Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 where details can be given in confidence.”
