Man slashed across the face in Harehills fight

A man was rushed to hospital after he was stabbed in a fight in Harehills.

West Yorkshire Police were called to reports of a fight in Compton Road yesterday (September 1) at 9.10pm.

A 25-year-old man was assaulted and received a “slash wound to his cheek.”

He was taken to hospital for treatment but the injury is not considered life-threatening, a police spokesperson has said.

Enquiries are ongoing and anyone who witnessed the incident or who has any information that could assist the investigation is asked to contact Leeds District CID via 101 quoting crime reference 13200440192 or online via www.westyorkshire.police.uk/101livechat

Information can also be given anonymously to the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
