Man slapped with non-harassment order after incident at Wishaw flat

A Wishaw man has been slapped with a non-harassment order after behaving in a threatening manner at an address in the town.

Mark Hill appeared at Hamilton Sheriff Court this week for sentencing having admitted his guilt last month.

On August 6 at a property in Stewarton Terrace, Hill began shouting, swearing and issuing threats of violence towards a woman.

The 32-year-old, who committed the offence while he was released on bail, also repeatedly telephoned his victim.

Hill, of Shand Street, was given a one-year Community Payback Order with a supervision requirement and told to attend drug and alcohol counselling when required.

A six-month non-harassment order was also imposed.

In two separate cases, Hill also admitted failing to appear in court on both July 18 and October 3.

He was admonished on both of these charges.
