Man slams date for asking to split Uber fare - but people are divided

A man was left stunned when his date asked him to transfer money towards a cab.

Peter, who's known as @peterpribylpierdinock on TikTok, shared a video of a text exchange he had with "Tori", a woman he took out for dinner.

As Tori thanked him for treating her to a lovely meal, she kindly asked whether he could transfer some money towards a cab she took to meet him.

A screenshot of the conversation reads: "Heyyy thanks again for dinner last night.

"The Uber ended up being way more expensive than I thought. Do [you] mind if we split it???"

He said it was the "worst date ever" (TikTok/peterpribylpierdinock)

Peter replied saying: "But you said you didn't want me to pick you up and you would meet me there haha."

Tori then wrote back: "LMAOOO it's ok I can just Venmo request like $10?"

Venmo is a money transfer app used in the US.

Peter was less than impressed with the request, and branded the date the "worst ever".

Since being posted the video has racked up almost 190,000 views and 300 comments from people who said this was definitely a red flag.

One person said: "Bro... I think you should drop her. Red flag."

Another commented: "As if she couldn't see the cost beforehand. The audacity."

A third wrote: "Whaaaaat who does that? I hope you said NO!"

But not everyone agreed...

Someone else put: "What's wrong w this?? She wasn't comfortable driving with you and you both took the UBer!!! There's no issue here."

And another user said: "I'm with Tori! You should have taken her somewhere close to where she lives."

This isn't the first time Peter has been left peeved off by a pal.

In another video, he revealed that his friend had asked him to transfer 47 cents, £0.34, to him for the chips Peter ate from his plate.
