Man slammed for sending world's worst break-up text with 'plot twist' ending

A woman was left baffled after receiving a lengthy, romantic message from her significant other listing all the things he loves about her - only to discover at the end that she had been dumped.

TikTok user @_Michelleboller uploaded a video showing the message she had received, along with the caption: 'Very confused at the moment'.

It's been viewed more than 100,000 times and people flooded the comments to express their disbelief over how anyone could have possibly thought the message was a good idea.

In the screenshot, the message begins by listing all of the little idiosyncrasies he has grown to love about her during their relationship, before things quickly come crashing down.

The long message came to a dramatic end (_michelleboller/TikTok)

It reads: 'I fell in love with you. I don't know how to explain it but I did and I just think you are an amazing person with a great personality and I just love your laugh. It's so adorable and cute.

'I love your brown eyes. In the sun they get a little lighter and they sparkle a little bit.'

It's like something straight out of The Notebook so far, right? And it continues: 'You smell like pound cake all the time and I love it. Your smile makes me feel like I'm floating.

'You have the cutest nose. And my most favourite thing about you is your personality. I memorised your Starbucks order and your Chipotle order.

'You're 5'7 1/4. You say pickle juice when you're thinking about your bestfriend. And you love to annoy me but secretly I love it.

'But I can't date you because you're not my type.'

A text that started with a declaration of love ended in a break up and no one watching the video could quite figure out how.

One person replied to say: "HOW??? WHAT KINDA PLOT TWIST."

A second wrote: "The way I would throw my phone into the ocean."

A third commented: "IT WAS GOING SO WELL WHATTTT."

And another added: "So... what was the point of writing all that. They did that just to hurt you."
