NARATHIWAT: A man was shot to death behind a mosque in Rueso district on Sunday morning, probably as the result of a personal conflict, police said.
The body of Adinan Daesila, 30, of Pattani's Yaring district, was found lying behind Sababu Islamiyah Mosque at Ban Rueso at about 7.30am. He had been shot once in the back with a shotgun.
Eyewitnesses told police that at about 5am they saw Adinan, who made his living as a daily labourer, leave a house where he lived with his relatives to meet a man who was waiting outside. The two walked to a spot behind the mosque, about 100 metres from the house, where Adinan was shot to death.
Police were trying to determine the motive for the killing.
