A 40-year-old man was shot in his bed Monday in Austin on the West Side.
He was on his bed just before 6 a.m. in the 5000 block of West Washington Boulevard when someone fired shots, Chicago police said.
The man was struck in the shoulder, and his condition was stabilized at the University of Chicago Medical Center.
It is unclear if the shots burst through a window or from the back of the home, police said.
Area Central detectives are investigating.
