A man was killed and a woman was injured in a shooting Saturday in Chatham on the South Side.
They were in a parked vehicle shortly after midnight in the 8000 block of South Ingleside Avenue when two males approached and fired multiple shots, according to Chicago police. The suspects ran off northbound.
The 30-year-old man was shot nine times and taken to the University of Chicago Medical Center, where he died, police said. The woman, 26, was taken to the same hospital in good condition with a gunshot wound to the buttocks.
No one is in custody as Area Two detectives investigate.
