A man was killed in a shooting Thursday in Portage Park on the North Side.
The 22-year-old was sitting in a parked vehicle about 9:20 p.m. in the 5200 block of West Newport Avenue when a male shot him multiple times, Chicago police said. A friend drove him to Illinois Masonic Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead.
