A man was killed in a shooting Thursday in Humboldt Park on the West Side, police said.
Officers found the 31-year-old about 3 a.m. in the backyard of a vacant house in the 1000 block of North Avers Avenue with a gunshot wound to the mouth, Chicago police said.
The man was pronounced dead at the scene, police said. The Cook County medical examiner’s office hasn’t released details on the death.
