A man was shot and killed Sunday in the Heart of Chicago on the South Side.
About 9:15 a.m., the man, 40, was found laying in the 1700 block of West 21st Street with a gunshot wound to his torso, Chicago police said. He was rushed to Stroger Hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries.
No one is in custody, police said.
The Cook County medical examiner’s office has not released details about the death.
Area Central detectives are investigating.
