A 33-year-old Indianapolis man was shot to death early Monday in Gary, Indiana.
Robert Crawford was shot on a sidewalk about 2 a.m. in the 200 block of East 16th Avenue, according to the Lake County coroner’s office.
Officers responded to a call of gunfire and found a crowd standing around the man on the ground, Gary police said. He had multiple gunshot wounds, and was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police have not released the circumstances of the shooting. Autopsy results are pending.
