A man was shot to death Sunday night in Back of the Yards on the Southwest Side.
Just after 6 p.m., the 28-year-old was sitting in a car in the 5300 block of South Hermitage Street when a group approached him and demanded his belongings, Chicago police said.
The group then opened fire, striking the man in the head, police said. He was pronounced dead at the scene and has not yet been identified.
There was no one in custody.
