One man was killed and another was wounded in a shooting Thursday in Austin on the West Side.
They were standing outside about 11:15 p.m. in the 4700 block of West Huron Street when a male walked up and fired shots, according to Chicago police.
Corey Gilmore, 39, was hit in the chest, neck and face and taken to Mount Sinai Hospital, where he was pronounced dead, police and the Cook County medical examiner’s office said. He lived in west suburban Addison.
The other man, 36, was shot in both arms and taken to Mount Sinai Hospital in fair condition, police said.
No one is in custody as Area Four detectives investigate.
